斯蒂芬·莫滕森（杰弗里·拉什 飾）是一名老年法官，在一次近乎致命的中風(fēng)導(dǎo)致他部分癱瘓后，他搬進(jìn)了一家養(yǎng)老院。在那里，莫滕森與另一位居民發(fā)生了沖突，戴夫·克里利（約翰·利思戈 飾）有點(diǎn)不合群，他用一款名為“珍妮筆的規(guī)則”的虐待狂玩偶游戲秘密恐嚇居民。雖然它應(yīng)該用于癡呆癥治療， 但在克里利的手中，木偶是一種折磨工具。隨著Crealy的行動(dòng)升級(jí)，Mortensen必須與自己衰老的身體和心靈作斗爭，以結(jié)束Crealy恐怖統(tǒng)治。
